Another test you can do is to put a fuel pressure gauge in the return line, run the engine through idle to about 1500 RPMs, and see what it reads.Return line at 0psi so that looks clear. Checked temp sensor and ohm readings go down when warm. Map sensor checks OK. Grounds and voltage to the ECM is good. New coil and timing set at 8 BTDC Vacuum lines are all new and confirmed correctly hooked up. When I installed the used kit I used new O2, Coolant sensor, and fuel filter.If the pump is sending too much fuel to the carb, the float valve will stop the flow of fuel into the bowl. If that return line isn't there, the fuel has no where to go. This could possibly rupture the diaphragm in the fuel pump...depending on the quality of the pump. If that ruptures, you have a direct fuel leak into the crankcase.It's kind of a hard plastic line with "quick disconnects" on both ends.
